Yes i returned. After months without post this same thread, i am here.
For who doesn't know me, i have posted 9 threads about this theme (yes, 9), and after a god dude (don't remember the name) i "fixed" this problem. But here i am again and i need help.
My problem is this:
1- start playing the map - ok
2- each unit has its own sight radius - ok
3- you selected the hero and you are playing, he has 1100 sight radius - ok
4- when your hero dies, his sight radius that is one (example: 1100) automatically reduces, and reduces drastically, and when your hero respawn he has his vision sight reduced to (example: 500) and you have to play the rest of the game with this sight radius - Not ok.

Not even the best of the bests could fix this trouble to me, they just gave me a second plan: Create dummies to give vision, these units are invisible and they are for the whole map. And for a long time it worked. But this is not the samething that have your own vision sight... You know...
I reposted this because after all this "hive 2.0", there would have a new and very very very genius guy to help me...
The question is:
Am i right?
Is This guy over there?
Are you THIS guy?

Tell me the answer of all this questions is "yes"

I note that my post had more views than replies, so here is something to help. I'll be more specific
Trouble.png

What i want is to make the sight radius of object editor be THE ONE, i wont it reducing to this small radius after respawning.
Be more specific to me in solutions, how to make this with dummy? Show me with images if possible.
"Thats not hard".
My dear friend, if you know how many times i posted this... No solution untill now. The plan b to fix this was using invisible dummies around the map... but this is not the same thing that have an own sight radius, wich is the normal. I call this solution B "the remedy". I want prevent the problem, not to remedy.

You could use the Item-Ability: Item-Sightbonus Change the bonus to an negative Value and add it on Revive. But be aware of Day/Night Vision Night is in common smaller and if it becomes lower than movingspeed the Unit might get out of sight while walking.

If you have morphing Units you might to make the Item-Sightbonus-ability permament.

To inser negative Value select the Sightbonus Field in Object Editor and Press "Shift + Enter"

Am i right?

No, you are not and please stop to exaggerate. Why dont you listen to the people here that try to help you? There is several good ways here to deal with that, but:

I tested your problem and cannot reproduce it. In my case, heroes always respawn with correct sight radius or at least not with such a greatly reduced vision. The vision in my case looks pretty normal.

I attached the test map, type in kill and revive to see that the vision (1100) is completely restored.

There is one way, I could think of:
Did your units always die during day and revive during night? Did you try to revive them at the same spot to be sure that the problem, you describe, really exists?

edit: I guess, if this problem really exists, you probably changed something somewhere or play around with sight vision somewhere ... I would say, it is not usual for wc3 to do that after I tested it, and it works fine.

Edit: @DracoL1ch Aaah ok, thanks for the explanation :)

hero must be dead less than "Decay time" seconds and revived via ReviveHero

To add onto what the other have said, you can just:

NOT instantly revive the hero. Add a timer (you can just try it out with a wait as well:

Unit dies

Unit class == Hero

Wait 2 seconds
Revive said hero
)

if i tell you that 90% of your suggestions i tried already? It's meaningless to tell me "it wont never be fixed, don't be exaggerate, etc..." This is the 9 time i posted this.

But there still 10% of suggestions i'll try.

OBS: I have some skills that affect the vision sight in game, like reveal a large AoE, etc... Does it... you know... affect in something?

EDIT: "You could try and stop the heroes from dying by blocking fatal damage and then simulating hero death."
Allright, how to do this? Is it so "realistic" as the normal death?

Same way one blocks damage in a shield system, but a fraction as complex. Not sure how realistic it will be though.

StarCraft II uses this quite a lot as it has both trigger events and data elements which can detect fatal damage. In theory WC3 could be made to simulate such an event by detecting when damage is taken that lowers life below 0.405, although how well it can simulate the dying art I am uncertain (SC2 actors are infinitely more flexible).

Here my revive system, i want to all of you guys to take a small look in this. See if you can find something wrong.
My revive system.png

EDIT: So... Did you look? Is anything wrong with it?
I mean... the fog reduces when you die and revive so i tought this would be a good idea you take a small look in this revive system.
RE-EDIT: Guys i note something that may be important to solve this.. Well... Help you to help me at the true.
The fog doesn't reduces when the hero respawn, it reduces when the hero DIES. In the moment the hero tooks the killing hit and is casting his death animation it reduces -------I can see the fog reducing------- and when the hero respawn it is already reduced.
Any suggestions? I'm accepting anything.
