Hello, I want to learn to make icons so what I am asking is: Do I need a complete knoweledge of PS or the tutorial on this site is enough for zero-level one to learn drawing icons ?

I think the tutorials are pretty good for starters, you don't need complete knowledge. Just train your skills and you will get better and better.

In fact, I read some but I want to make sure what level in PS use I need to be. I know about layers but there are things like vector mask and pathing that I don't know about. Also I found difficulty in combining layers but I know how to use free hand tools, like bruch, pencil and others.

I started using photoshop not even that long ago. Like... 3 days ago and I made this.

It's not all that great but it's not bad in my opinion. That was my first try at making an icon too.
