External interactions from a map

Hi guys,

Just wondering if it's possible to have a map interact with external systems.

This could be reading/writing files locally or communication via HTTP, or really any method of interaction.

Understandably this would be a fairly gaping security risk, so I'm not super hopeful, but my intent is to use the Warcraft as an engine to play with some ML concepts by leveraging something like Cognitive Services and/or some kind of Python/Node/... implementation.

Networking is possible with external tools that can read and write preload files. Myself and others have already implemented such features basically right after hostbots stopped working.

I was curious if there be a way to get th' internal calendar/clock. It may be used to have time specific events.
