NO. Im saying ms3d is better than blender.. so why b) would be blender
You, sir,

Blender, being worse than MS3D? MS3D is easy to understand and use. But DEFINATELY not better than Blender.

Ok I dont know blender that much but if it doesnt have easy to use like ms3d, 3ds max remains better. I dont want to use 3ds max cause too big space for my purposes, too many things that I would never use.. But if the only way to do something and use it in sc2, there will be no escape from 3ds max 2010/11

the big problem for me is, that 3ds max is wayyyyyyy too expansive for me... I simply want to make easy models, like i made for wc3 with milkshape (of course more poly etc...), but it would also be great, that everyone can make models, then we could have much more models to download, what is really necessary because of the lack of models ins sc2 (my point of view)
I'm making a warlock like map at the moment, but I don't know what models I should use for example for an ice ball missile and impact model...

--> what I wanted to say is, that it would be great if there were converter/exporter for cheap or even better free modeling programms

Definitely 3dsmax, as I think that any full-fledged experienced modeller out there will be using this program anyways. Maya ... well ... its not a big deal to convert maya to 3ds max, etc.
the big problem for me is, that 3ds max is wayyyyyyy too expansive for me...
expansive ...? So it bothers you that you can put in custom scripts and extend it?
Joke aside, I think that is not really a viable argument. Yes, I know its illegal and yes, I shouldn't say that here, but how is the price for a program ever a problem in the modern piracy-is-awesome society? :con:

Autodesk KNOWS that there are people cracking the software and using illegal copies. But guess what: they don't really care. Private persons that want to use the software for hobby and fun purposes would NEVER pay those large sums and Autodesk is aware of that. And companies that make use of 3ds max commercially got no problem paying for the license. Every university can give you a free licence for 3ds max. Why do you think that is? Because those people would use freeware otherwise.
