Ok lets start this bad boy off. First i would like to say welcome to everyone reading this and plz take great intrest in this. Heres the scoop. I (As in me and me only) have been thinking of a better storyline then TKoC (True Knights of Chivalry.) Anyays i have sorta left my other team but not really just handed my current project ober to them (Chivalry TD). Anywyas back to the project im excited to get started unlike the other two.

Now that ive started, i would like to talk about this project. It will start out as basically solo (No one really helping eachother or anything.) Although the game will be between two Empires with various cities and cizilazations in between. (Elven forest, Orchish Warcamp, Dwarven Mountains, and the Rift, along with possibly a Nagan Island) OF COURSE dont worry they will ALL be renamed, through team ideas. ANyways you everyone starts off somewhere in a controlled area by ur empire. You will be all the same, a peasant or surf, or w/e the team comes up with. Along with the details, you will do quests with your farmer or w/e and will get weak weapons like sticks, a wand, basic magic powers, etc, learned through quest and miscelaneous deeds. About 30 min or so in the game after a few quest your character wil have a feel down on what it will be. (FOR example if your surf decides to go through the path of having a stick and sheer strength to kill its foes, you will turn into a STRONG MEllee hero from a man who finds you and tells you ur ready to lead ur empire to great success. NOTE this will happen to everyone after 30 min, and then the AOS fightuing between both empires will start.

Now when this happens creeps will start spawning from btoh empires like (DoTA, AoS, ToB.) However another twist unlike a plain old AoS occurs. Those other cities i talked about above (Elven, Dwarven, Rift, Nagan Island, Orchish) are needed to pull to victory. You can capture them and they will spawn units that will interfere witht he enemies and attack them. However the other empire can capture them from you to and turn them against you. Each city-village will have its own unique items. THese are the basics i could go on for hours into detail, and choose not to for the sack of your eyes, and the usual americans attecntion span.

Ok on to the project required positions

Terrainer- Desolatefire (ME) i will need someon elses to help so if ur one plz post

Heros- (Position still needed) This person will create all teh abilities and heros, and will work mostly with the skiner/modeler.

Modeler/Skiner- (Position Needed) This person will do everything with the word CUSTOM. this includes modeling and skinning, and if your a real expert go ahead and create your own.

Triggerer/Regional- (NEEDED)This is one of the most vital and most important jobs in this project. You will be working with everyone because triggers basically deal with everything. You will set up all the regions, or most, becuase someone else might for sake of there part. YOUR name will be after mine the credits for work, sorry everyone else who will be working on it.

Creeps- (NEEDED) THis person will deal 100% with enemies and every other creture thats NOT HEROS, and quest starters.

Quest maker- (Needed) This person is the most vital for making the begging of the game appealing through the quest. You will desgign all of the quest, quest givers, items you recieve, etc.

There are a few other little parts which will be filled in by the "Team" once one is brought together.

Desolatefire (I) will be the project manager. I will be dealing with the terrians along with one more person, and will overlook and help with everything else.

I am also looking for another person who is willing o be be project assistant manager. This person can be doing for example triggers, and stille be assistant manager.

SO im looking for around 6-8 people williing to devote around 1-3 hours a day. THE PROJECT ASSISTANT MANAGER will need at least 3 hours and hopefully 4 a day. I will be putting around 4 possibly 5.

EVERY POSITION IS STILL OPEN, PLZ POST WITH THE POSTION YOU WANT AND I WILL NEED TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE AN EXPERICANCE IN THAT FIELD OTHERWISE WHATS THE POINT OF APPOINTING YOU TO THAT PART OF THE PROJECt.

Terraining has started and should be completed in 2 weeks. ^^^ any of those jobs that require the terrain really wont need to do anything for the next 3 weeks. However, the Hero person will have to start most likely this weekend.

If u have any other info just post.

THIS IS NOT A HARD PROJECT TO GET INTO, so plz post even if your only about a "B- student" in the part you want, i will help, and might get another person.

TEAMSPEAK FOR MEMBERS

Anyone who is accepted into the project will be told a teamspeak number through PM. If you have a mic i will be in it all day when im not at school or work. You can ask me anything there, and id be glad to asnwer. ALso it can be a meeting place to brainstrom names and solve prblems we could run into and should otherwise it wont ever be good.

I prefer talking over typing, unless it deals something with names...

Not a very good idea.
A map like that will not be very popular.
1. Dota and AOS fanatics will not want to wait 30 minutes for the PVP to start.
2. RPG fans will not like the sudden swich from RPG to dota/AOS.
3. The game will be all in all longer than the average dota/aos map.
4. Many people would get sick of starting from lvl 1 all the time in an RPG enviroment.
5. People who dont like DOTA/AOS wont play.

That leaves a very small populas of people who like rpg/aos and who have 1-2 hours to spend on a game and will not drop.

A better idea would to be a RPG start and after 30 minutes a player has a choice to join a side(no more RPG and intensive AOS/DOTA combat) or stay neutral(hostile to the AOS fractions and keep Role playing).
Also a save/load system of some kind would make it even better.

That would be a very good rpg/aos :p

wow it doesnt matter if the map is popular, even though i'm busy with my own maps. The only problems could be some people could get an enormous advantage by completing quests and such early in the rpg part unless they get all upgraded for AOS (though that would make the beginning pointless) Sounds interesting.

Dr super good i like the idea about the start and it does matter if a maps populour cause if its not populour why make it in first place?

To have fun? To become better?

Please define the world popular. If it means, that your map is played a lot on b.net, it's most likely because the map sucks, if people in the, more or less, intelligent map making community likes it, it will be popular aswell, but not as popular as it can get on B.net.

If you're only making maps with the purpose of being popular, I would suggest you to give up map making now, since too many maps are produced till they all can get popular in the eyes of the average wc3 player.

The idea sounds good, and it might be a bit rough around the edges, but then, that's what creativity's for, anyways, it sounds good, and I'd like to help, but I'll probably only be able to devote about 4-6 hours a week, and I don't particularly excell at any field, I'm just sorta moderate at all of them, but I cannot terrain for good multi-player maps, I wouldn't have a problem being sort of like an extra, if I can help.

soz guys ive been busy for the past 4 days, but im back to my normal of putting 5 hours a day in maps :) umm i wasnt able to find anyone for this project so its closed sorry but im looking for balancers for Chivalry TD on Thursday at around 7 p.m. (U.S Central timezone) If you interested leeme know!
