dude you have to formulate your problems a bit more precisely, but i think you mean sth like this:

trigger 1:
event: choose any which should make your footman being dead
condition: not needed
action: unit - kill <your footman>

trigger 2:
event: a unit dies
condition: triggering unit is equal to <your footman>
action: victory player 1
