Error in MdlVis 1.40 when editing a model from WoW

Hello, dear colleagues!

Recently I had to face a problem in MdlVis. The thing is that I found a way to convert models from WoW Dragonflight: first I had to extract the necessary files from CASC Explorer, then remove the first 8 bits of information, convert the model using jm2converter, put a texture on the model and add the final touches in MdlVis. Everything went well until the last moment - when trying to edit animations and delete unnecessary bones, when I open the corresponding tab, I get an error window (screenshot attached). I tried different solutions to the problem: other versions of MdlVis, converted mdx to mdl and opened the model in notepad, but this window still popped up over and over again.
Also, I want to emphasize that the model is displayed almost correctly in the map editor (though one animation stretches the model), but without removing unnecessary animations and bones, the matter is not brought to a better look.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem and do you know a solution? I would be incredibly grateful to you!

hello, colleague
i don't edit wow models so i don't know this exact error
have you tried the mdlvis wow optimization stuff? have you opened it in war3modeleditor to see if there's some obvious stuff that's wrong? does it lock up your mdlvis completely so you can't do anything (i've had errors that basically do nothing, just close it and it's fine)?
i know a similar error when there's mesh unattached to bone, the window says "model damaged, report to author" but you can click through it and attach the mesh and it will go away (or simply restart and mdlvis should attach automatically)
there's some sketchy 1.41 version here, i've been using it for a few years and it's fine, try it

Hello! Thank you very much for your answer!
Yes, I tried to optimize the model and the optimization process seemed to have even happened, but the window still popped up as in the attached screenshot. I had versions 1.39, 1.40 and the one you sent - 1.41, however, this window was everywhere. I also opened the model in W3ME (that's where I applied the texture), and visually everything looked fine... So I don't even know what to do.
Btw, how can I check in W3ME if everything is fine with the model? - this is my first conversion, and in general, working with models, I'm still a bit of an amateur

i meant something that'd be incredibly obvious, like everything going out of wack

you can try sanity tester Model checker and look for errors
or optimizer MDLX Optimizer
or this optimizer Model Optimizer and Converter v1.2.1
make backups before you do anything though
Sorry for not answering you for a long time!
Oh, I understood you, thank you so much for sharing this recources!
And yeah, I opened model in Checker, maybe problems with animations are tied with problems in model itself.
Thank you!
