I might as well do this. I'll deposit all my WIPs and the final one for the Wc3Creations Terrain Contest, so here's the bunch of 'em.

But well, I don't see a concrete idea here, aside from the low size doodad technique, so I'll can't be any helpful until I see more WIPs

Them fires are gigantic, and though diverse, the forest kinda blends in one big green blob.

As one can clearly see these fires are about twice the size of the average window in the fictional town in your terrain.

What your lights should be

What is currently happening in your town (and shouldn't really happen)

In this case (long distance birds eye) your lights should look like nothing more but little dots. Like stars. Kek?

The height is lacking. There should be other mountains behind the one you are showing, as well.

Just one mountain doesn't seem "epic" to me. Epic landscapes include many different kinds of land features, forests, mountains, plains, huge lakes/seas, rivers, cliffs, valleys, etc.

I'm a little confused. Your still working on this right? Theirs alot of barren stuff... The ashenvale trees looks just like the grassy dirt. Took me a few seconds to realize those were trees.

I'm gonna be done soon, I'm guessing tomorrow or Tuesday, probably going to retint some things and edit some placings, as well as add in lighting. Maybe.

When you're calling them fires, they must be big , they're torches though. I'll see about it.. maybe I'll use candles instead.

I think you need a background too. Just copy the terrain and move it so you can make mountains behind it, then copy the doodads and try to put them in the right position

I added a background... it's a mountain forest and a spire city.

• Near the bottem middle, theirs a pig farm with some stange straw stuff around it?
• To the left-up a bit of the Pig Farm... It looks like a large book their?

It doesn't feel epic, it feels like a helicopter or birds eye point of view more than anything. It's 'big' but big != epic. It needs to open up, while your terrain right now is closed. It ends right where the edge of the mountain is.

Yes, a faraway background, that's what you need.

Because we can barely se the difference of the fog's intensity. You need something to bring the feeling of a very large space.

I don't know what you can do with that terrain, but that's what it's missing IMO.

Can anyone tell me where in the WEU you can resize the map?

Idk how in WEU, but if you go into map options, where all the camera bounds are and shit, that's where you resize it in the good ol' WE.

HOWEVER, the map only "grows" to the south and to the east.
So if you put your terrain on the upper edge, you're screwed.
