The campaign feels like a speed run. Most of the times the player just kills units on the map.
chap1:
-Militia can build structures like the Peasant
-Swordsman is a copy of Footman
-the hero also looks like a Footman
-it doesn't look like an invasion. Most of the orcs in town are far from the villagers
-the troops can get through the west forest to the bandits but the hero is too big to do so
-the Bandits just destroyed one of their tents (behind the Iron Gate)
-the hero has no ultimate
-Peons are just standing doing nothing
-map has fog of war not black mask
chap2:
-start over from level 1? Not only that but items and Manual bonuses don't transfer either
-the orcs in the southeast killed whatever creatures were supposed to be marked on the map as an orange circle
-upon meeting the Archmage he is named Regional Commander in the transmission instead of Kelen the Seeker as in the earlier cutscene
-a Blood Mage can be summoned at the Altar of Kings (is this a RoC campaign?)
-the Ogre meeting cinematic spawned two Swordsmen
-what's the use of making the Blademaster in their base drop items if the hero won't have them in the next level?
chap3:
-the starting camera is applied to an area on the map far from the hero's position
-ok, so now the hero has other 3 spells in exchange
-now the Militia is named Footman and is as strong as the latter
-the camera sets before the cinematic mode starts when reaching the town
chap4:
-destroying the first orc base (the one in the south of their primary) and the two Blademasters a band of Chaos Grunts are given to/spawned for the player...
-the bigger bonus completing the dragon camp quest is that they won't attack anymore and not 4-6 soldiers from the nearby village
-the optional quest has the same icon as that of the main quest
chap5:
-victory is not required after the end of this scene
-levels don't load one after the other but instead after each one the campaign menu is shown
chap6:
-the troops waiting for the hero are already visible north of the town
-how did he escape without them being able to pursue?
-"we lost our way on a scouting expedition"...
-the Orc Warchief is such a weak unit, even the Grunt is more powerful
-no quest in the log
-those humans were actually elves
-disable Shadowmeld (Hide) as the Elven Commander is invisible during her speech
-the Footman hero gained a level in the last scene
chap7:
-cinematics are cinematics, gameplay is gameplay. It doesn't feel real for a rock thrown by a Demolisher not to kill a Swordsman in an instant
-uprising? What revolt? The humans are just defending themselves not going against the orc government that rule them
-the Quest Log has been empty for some levels now
-some of their bases are beatable
-the Kadjak Stone has a "1" like consumable items
-there's no point of getting out of the base to get items as they don't transfer
-Troop Barracks can be placed anywhere
-some of the allied troops at the end do not come all the way and stop outside the base. If player's troops are in the region where the reinforcements spawn, they are sent with them to the base
chap8:
-well I dunno if a bunch of villages can stop a massive orc army but hey; not to mention that peasants and farmers aren't skilled in warfare
-and it's wonder that there were still villages left
chap9:
-the Ogre Mauler just basically passed through the gate arch
-the starting attack is real horror show
-the Slave Driver's captives aren't that special
-units selected during cinematic mode
-the bears change ownership during the scene
-the druids have spells they cannot use
-there are no caves in the west from where trolls can get out of; there are many trolls to the east, however
-why add a useless spell like Far Sight to the hero?
-the Troll Base quest only completes as a message and not in the log; the optional ones don't complete at all
-nah, the boss should've been in the base. Too easy this way
It's not really that challenging.
