I had the idea when I saw this. Idk whether that particular map is educational or not - that's beside the point.

I have ideas for directions people could take it in (one here), but I figure I should keep most of them to myself for now since maybe people would be less inclined to try to build them if I mentioned them :]
Would maybe have to be a lengthy contest to get really interesting results, like 4-12 months lol.
Could be a paired mapping dev contest, or a solo/mini one, depending on what people think is more likely to lead to completed projects (or at least MVPs) in the allotted time.
