After the update today, the editor requires you to login to b.net to use it. Kind of lame imo. :X

I just hope they fixed the previewer. It kept crashing my editor after the last two patches they added in. The editor and game both work perfectly. It was just the previewer.

But I have to agree with the whole authentication of the editor thing. I just hope it won't ask me every single time, and that I can authenticate it soon once the servers are up.

The first time it said I couldn't access it, I almost thought something was off in my password and email. x_x At least it's a problem on their end and not mine.

Well for me I tried to open the editor when the servers were down and it wouldn't let me log in, saying the servers were down, which was expected. Then when the servers came back up I only logged into the game and got into b.net.

I then rebooted my computer and then opened up the editor and it didn't need me to log in, so I think it's fairly safe to say that you just need to log in to b.net once to verify you have a legit copy.

oh well people ILLEGALY downloading this is a probleme but people who ahve the editor normaly shalnt have a problem lol. I dont see this a problem until the server is back up from maintance so stop yah complainin its not the end of the world. This would also STOP piracy cause they need to use a cracked editor and they cant update it cause they need to use the internet and cause they have a crack bnet launcher they cant use the updater and wouldnt be able to share their maps :D so yah i think this is a plus to the editor.

yeah but theres always people out there who will make the pirated patches for the games so people dont need to connect to bnet server

uhm you didnt read fully what i said.

I said: if you made a pirated version all you could use was the downloaded version and it editor so if there is an update that made older version of the map incompatible ( there will be these trust me ) with the newer version people couldnt update and cant share their maps and can only use solo and melee maps so yah

So because some are using the editor w/o being in beta, they screw up all... I was trying to at least launch a map by dragging onto the sc2 icon since editor doesnt work and ..'please log on from editor'.... arrgh. Seriously pissing me off with this 'US 1st gets it..'

Y but, me for instance. I wont buy the game if it wont pass my expectations.

SC2 isnt updated enough from SC1. And Editor is not good enough yet.
Now I have to wait like 6 months after release to realize if editor is worth buying the game.

I have high expectations.
But hey loads of people bought(pre order) Aliens vs Predator, not me, and game was dead after few months. I was hoping for that game.
I dont pre order games. IMO only games that are worth buying are Diablo II, Warcraft 3, Starcraft 1, Half Life 1 and 2, and other games that are true classics.

This is just my opinions here.

And I dont like how they dont give people to TRY BEFORE BUY !!!
No demo...

No I can log in but when I turned my internet off and restarted the editor it asked for it again.

You have to do it everything it seems but you can click the remeber me box and it doesnt pop up as long as you have internet connection.

This might only be for the beta so we dont know

It would be cool if we had the option of signing in the editor so we could chat with people but I dont think we can do that even.

I've never had to login via that screen, I logged in on the actual game first and then never saw that. Also, yeah, I restarted it while my internet was down. :\

IAMA copper player who knows about the differences between SC and SC2. AMA.

Really though. The core gameplay is obviously the same, but the units, strategies, etc are almost completely different.

Well yes, for deep gaming, its BETTER. A lot.

Tho I dislike 1v1 matches in SC2. But I love 4v4 matches for example, when massive armies are fighting. There should be some anti rush mode.

I will make maps like these. Starting with turrets.

I only really like 1v1 because the other matchups are a combination of cheese being retarded as well as the utter lack of strategy that comes from having so many players playing so many races.

2v2/3v3/4v4 are fun to screw around in but they are honestly not all that skill-based, which can be annoying.

I cant agree more. But I am aiming for fun = mess. Specially if you are playing with amateurs :) .

So, is there any way to enable editor usage without having beta key ?
