Editor now requires B.net login

just log into SC2 normally not the GE just Sc2 itll work does for me

what i do is start the editor directly without starting the client at all. of course in order to do that i have to go to the folder where the game is installed.

My realID status says: "Creating Maps" after I entered my B.net account .. Pretty annoying, I was not informed correctly about this break on my private life. Why is it that blizzard think this is a right thing to do? What if windows did the same, and informed everyone about which programs I have open, and which websites I visit?

You complained about a certain feature and he told you that buying the game is optional if you do not want your privacy to be breached.

If you don't want realID stuff to be displayed, don't use realID. You'd think this would be obvious, but apparently not. People these days...

Its not a right to play starcraft 2 its a privilege that you are granted.


So I still cant use the editor when I am not connected to the internet why is everyone saying they can when I cant! What are they doing differently?

i dont start the game from the start menu. i dont play much online however. i just run the editor from its installed folder by double clicking on StarCraft II Editor. i dont even log on in order to use the editor.

I don't think this one-time authentication will help against piracy. I already have seen working offline patches against this system.

people do need to be online to play the game.(unless they are testing a map through the editor.)
