edit animations in War3 Model Editor?

No, you can't. You need a program such as Milkshape, 3DsMax, or Warshape. There are some others such as Note Track and War Forger I believe.

Only very simple things can be done in Magos, relating to animations. To my knowledge anyway.
 
But if I recall correctly, it's quite cheap.
