I'm someone who likes to play large melee games. 3v3RT/4v4RT/8FFA. Those sorts of things.
Thing I've noticed is that if you remember the layout of the maps, then you can get very good at them by remembering all their hideaway spots and easy creeps. Shortcuts to taverns/labs, easy expansions to take, etc...
What if you had a map that was completely melee in terms of gameplay, but the terrain layout, doodads, start locations, and creep camps were generated at map initialization?
Its something I might someday try to make, but don't really have the time for map making myself anymore. I like trying maps that use the dynamically generated algorithms, so if anyone knows any good ones already made I could check out...
