I've seen on many maps that someone placed rocks next to each other, or other such things. When I tried to take that rock away I couldn't fit it back in! How do people making maps do such tricks?

I mean I think it's not the case. I opened a map that I downloaded from here, there were rocks next to each other, when I took one away from each other, i couldnt put it back to its place. The map is called "Kerragor" same thing with statues in the middle, creator somehow used walls to hide the down-part of the statue but if u take out the statue or walls, you can't simply put it back

Hold down shift while hovering the object to place it - note that it only works when creating the object, once it is placed the shift hold no longer works.
Edit: you can still make them collide with each other once placed with ctr + keypad.

Just keep the ctr pressed while pressing one of the numbers on the keypad.
