Divide and Conquer Campaign

Divide and Conquer

By Interceptor

The Universe Exploring and Trading Center (UETC) is a multi-world organisation that keeps control on resource extractions and trades as a raw material. The story begins with the promotion of captain Rakhard to the rank of Special Detachment Commander. He receives his first orders from general Thund in the space colony Intercity. Rakhard is the main character and the user plays as him.

Mission One - Jungle's Law

The planet Gortar, which hosts tests for new off-road vehicle transportation technologies, has been invaded by a hostile race. Rakhard and his troops are sent to eliminate the danger until reinforcements arrive. The base there is well defended with the standard safety facilities (SSF) - deadly electric devices that unfortunately consume a lot of power. In order to keep them working longer, the power plant must be kept safe. The aliens had built their hive nearby and due to their very fast reproduction the hangar and the power station are constantly being attacked. The mission is to destroy the lair and purge the jungle. However, a little secret is awaiting the brave captain...
Planet: Gortar
Terrain: Jungle
Population: Engineers/Low
Commoners: None
Security: High
Invasion: Low
Environment: Neutral
Potential Danger: None
Transition Maps: 3 (Intercity - Gortar - Alien Cavern)

Mission Two - Treasure Hunt

After the great victory on Gortar, Rakhard receives new orders. A small desert planet has troubles with mining resources and the captain is sent there to check the situation. Arriving there, he finds that the resource expedition has been almost wiped out. Space pirates had arrived and stolen all the precious ore, killing the miners. However, their greed had been so big that they had tempted to further explore the mines and get the minerals. False placed explosives had exploded and opened holes to a secret underground pit, an inhabitant place of various native beasts. Now, Rakhard and his troops have to return back the mined material and ruin the holes in the mines to seal the creatures while protecting the base from the consequent raids for more and more wealth or flesh...
Planet: Acupus
Terrain: Desert
Population: Miners/Low
Commoners: Beasts
Security: Medium
Invasion: Medium
Environment: Hostile
Potential Danger: None
Transition Maps: 5 (Intercity - Acupus - 3 mines)

This is how the end of one of the mines will look like:

Mission Three - Swelter

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Added the Control Panel:
It's a feature that allows Rakhard to control the SSF while being away, give alerts and also call off-map support on surface areas.
Commands:
*SSF -> a built-in control table that allows switching certain devices on and off.
*Alert 1st Level - consumes a moderate amount of electricity to make the SSF fire a high-voltage electric current that greatly slows nearby enemies.
*Alert 2nd Level - consumes a large amount of electricity to make the SSF fire a deadly volt arc that paralyses enemies and damages them. Temporarily increases SSF's damage. Must be used with caution as it can cause temporary shut down to some devices.
*Alert 3rd Level - consumes a huge amount of electricity to make the SSF create several large electric blasts that kill nearby enemies instantly. Temporarily maximizes SSF's damage. Must be used with extreme caution as it can cause some devices to burn out.
*Call Artilery Strike - calls the fire of a powerful artilery cannon. Brings down 8 strikes, each dealing 400 damage.
*Call Photon Cannon - calls a satelite to beam the selected area with 4 photon cannons. Each intersection with a ray deals 300 damage.
*Call Nuclear Blast - calls a nuclear missile upon the selected area. Halves the HP of nearby living units and deals up to 2000 damage per unit (the closer to the strike, the greater effect).
*Emergent Teleport - Base - instantly teleports the hero and nearby allied units to the local base.
*Emergent Teleport - Intercity - instantly teleports the hero to Intercity.

Changelog:
- Reorganised information.
- Added progress bar.
- Added more information.

Table help:
Terrain = Main terrain type of the planet. This is essential to be known - it will be explained in the introduction map why.
Population = The population of the planet that belongs to UETC.
Commoners = The native inhabitants of the planet. They can be hostile, neutral or friendly. Also indicates if they are intelligent.
Security = How well is the base protected. High = SSF + troops, Medium = SSF only, Low = SSF w/o reactor and/or troops and None = nothing at all.
Invasion = Rate of base attacks. Low = little attack groups, not very freequent, few directions of attacks, weak units, Medium = bigger attack groups, more freequent, min. 2 directions, stronger units, High = large attack groups, nearly constant attacks from all sides, very strong and durable units.
Environment = Indicates if the environment has any effect upon the troops there. Friendly = beneficial effects, Neutral = no effect or neutral effect, Hostile = negative effects, such as constant damage, penalties, etc.
Potential danger = Indicates if there is a potential danger about the mission/base/troops. Potential dangers are deemed all conditions that can fail the whole mission or destroy some components. None = nothing, Possible = there may be a condition, Present = there is a danger condition.

Current chapter:0 - Introduction
Terrain100%
Objects100%
Triggers80%
Overall chapter:93%
Overall campaign:About 5%

In the introduction you will learn about the interface (which is almost fully custom), what you can expect to confront, what can the troops do, and some basic strategies, as the game will be very difficult if you don't know anything about it.

Okay now i get that but the transition maps you said about. Are they like zones used in the WC3 The Frozen Throne orc Campaign?

EDIT:

One more thing use hidden tags for screenshots. Otherwise the screen stretches.
>If you don't know how to please don't ask me because i don't.
>If you do please tell me because i don't want to say the same thing to someone else.

Exactly like that zones.
Basically, first missions consist of a base, which you must protect, a power station for the SSF, which you should also protect, and the mission you have to complete meanwhile, which often won't require (only) to kill the invaders.
On first missions you will be able to teleport back to Intercity if you have work there. However, that won't stop the base from being attacked (base status will be available in a leatherboard if you are in a foreign zone). You will also be able to see the status of the SSF, defending force, and the power plant.

I will begin working hard on it right after I finish Chaos.'s request for Naga Race (maybe in 1-2 days). I'll do the terrain 1st and will show some screens when ready.

As for hidden tags,
