Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

But back to buisness. Could you add a link to your homepage in the discription of this map? Cus i can only find it when i search the pages and you sometimes post a link to it. I would really like to see it, so plz add a link :D

Add "Did you use the standard world editor to create this map?"
No. We used a World Editor called Jass NewGen World Edtior created by Vexorian to break the limits that the standard World Editor has.
You can find it in the Download Page.

Maybe something like that... Edit the text as much as you want but many people still asks how we did the pits :p

And what about adding an WIP (Work in progress) page there we have some previews of stuff we are working on like the inventory for example.

I see that you fixed the screenshot section, it looks epic now. Just one question, can you make it so that images appears in small window on the page like they have done in diablo3.com insted of loading a new page with only the image? I guess you will learn how to do that first but that would make it better. Annoying that it loads a new page.

You should also add a question/answer about the Archievist since many people asks if he will be ingame. Even if he wont be playable it would be nice if we had a quest with him.

Maybe edit the About page so each of us have a big profile in the page insted.
I show you how i mean in a picture soon.

And can you do me a favor CW, can you increase the map size so i have space for the inventory? :p

It can be better but that is one way to get more information without having so much more space used.

CloudWolf, congratulations! Your map is now the fourth most downloaded map on the Hive! Incredible that the map achieved this much downloads in such a short period.

Continue your work.

Btw, shouldn't we try to advertise the map on Diablo III Battlenet forum? We could use the inventory system and all those awesome screenshots to lure them.

Ok :) I have an idea! I could give each of you guys a "Mini-site" with your own FTP access :)

I could supply you with a base template (site layout), and it would be up to you to fill in your areas :D This way, you will be able to update information without needing it to go through me first ;)

Just an idea though :p If its too much effort, or you guys just dont have any web edditing tools, then don't worry about it :D

someone tell me. What makes garena better than b.net? I dont see any good things with it, other than you can host maps there and make them really well known.

1. Less lag.
2. easier to find people to play with.
3. You can "ban" people so they cant join your game, good if you want to block leavers for example.
4. I can play with my friend when he uses my CD-Key xP
That what i can think of NOW...

less lag. Are you thinking delay here? cus i really have a good delay reducer. And i dont have any lag anyway XD

lol, garena makes game over LAN ive seen. That must mean that it set latency to 100. My reducer set it to 80 XD

Cloud. When you test this map, is it then only with your friend, can i sign up or are it completely random? Cus i would really like to test the inventory system :D

And oh. I guess you removed tyrael?

And why do you ask CW about the inv system, its Redmarine and i that Test & work on it, lul.

I normally just go onto bnet and host a game, so anyone can join them :) If your on northrend, ide be more than happy to give you a buzz next time i test :D

CloudWolf, is there somekind of stop pickup item mechanic? Could you please tell me how to disable it? I'm not able to pick up any item in the game even by disabling your inventory system.

I can't really test the system without it.

My revive system pawn this one xD
It places a grave stone where you die so units cant stand there and people can see where the dead players is!
And here is the reason for why i did so > when a player is out of lives, players shall be able to click on the grave stone to resurect the player by paying one of hes own lifes.

I like your music, especially Turning Grey. Your Bassist is pretty hot :)

The revive system indeed sounds good, but then the number of lives must be balanced well.

hmm, not to be rude or anything. But i dont like your music XD But thats not your fault. I just dont like that type of music. I like metal :p

Anyway, that revieve system is smart! :D I'll use it in my maps too :D (and ofc i give you credits! :D)

It's blank now.

Could you ask the creator of the camera system how to exclude players from it and add them using global variables? It's getting a bit annoying to use my temporary solution.

oh yea :D dont worry, he already told me how to disable it for an individual player :)

If you go to the trigger called Normal Revival there should be a custom script that looks like this :)

  • Custom script: set DEAD[IND[GetPlayerId(GetTriggerPlayer())]] = true
I think thats what your looking for :D If not, I'll give Na_Dann_Ma_GoGo a buzz :p

It somewhat works. Is there a way to stop the system totally for one specific player? Is this the work of another script or is it the same because the inventory is verticle not diagnol. :xxd:

I can set them up as an email forwarder if you like, so any emails sent to those address' get sent to your current email address :)

You don't have to use them, I just get them as part of my hosting package and did'nt want to waste them lol :)

No. All of our maps have been designed to run via blizzards Battle.net. Simply host these maps like you would any other.

This is not true as it does require newgen. Move the question down there.

P.S. Congratulations CloudWolf! Your map is the first one to ever beach the 10.000 download mark in a single month! [applaud]
