Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

News: Windows 7 won't allow me to play the map via Custom Game and on Battle.net... -.-

Hooray for the windows 7 beta xD That must be rather annoying :S

Cloud! I forgot something, could you add a simple line in the about section at my profile that says "Garena ID: LTGH" cus when i play this map on garena they start calling me noob for taking one of the creators name :S Quite anoying...

and certainly! I'll add it in now :)

CW, can you send me the latest ver of the map through PM? We are planing to import inventory now. ITS NOT DONE but we will have to import it later or sooner.
And it would be good if you could increase the maps size befor sending so we have place for it :p

I dont know what you think, but using normal wc3 hero models would be better imo... Like, the current custom barbarian is ugly compared to damn cool looking possessed grom hellscream.

But that doesnt look like barbarian at all. Better keep it if you ask me.
Maybe we can ask FrIkY if he wants to make a better skin? =)
He is a god when its about 2D art you know.

The custom barbarian looks more like a gorilla and how you can say that orc warrior doesnt look barbarish. And if you are gonna to use custom model for every hero class youll have a problem later or sooner.

Dude. Tyreal takes about 1100 kb by himself, he takes more space then all the heros togheter. And we should try to keep the models for atleast the main characters...

blimey, that was quick :D I only just added it xD Im still playing around with it to make it look nice :)

As for the latest version, im afraid i left it at home when i went back a few days ago :S I'll phone home now to see if anyones in to send it to me lol :D

First of all we will need heros that doesnt wear any weapons then :p
And we will need alternate attacks for the heros so they actually uses the weapons. :p And that is where the size comes.

yeaaa :D those staff models by Thrikodius are awesome ^^ Definately gonna use them if we get the chance :)

I also noticed that Kitabatake has some rather neat armour attachments specifically designed for the Blademaster model :D And you'll never guess what model our barb uses? ;)


All these imports should be perfect :D so long as the base template for the next 2 maps don't exceed 2mb, I have no problem with it :D

What about asking FrIkY to make a better barb skin for us? Right now he is to white. And it looks even more wierd cus the map is kinda dark.

guys i know this might be off topic. But i couldnt find anything with it in the forums. How do you make a picture in your signature a link? Its ok if you just send me another guide instead of wasting up this forum.

If you click the second banner in my sig, theres an example of the code you need to use :) Just replace the URL's with whatever you want in it :)

That's just cheap hehe... According to the screenshot the game looks quite alike Diablo III but I dislike the interface. I seriously doubt they'll stand a chance against Diablo III but then again that might not be their goal.

Well, I suppose the site could be called "Finished" right now, however, its still lacking in interactive content which I'm planning on adding at a later date :)

I really liked what you've done to the site but wouldn't it be a bit better if you had somekind of header similar to Diablo III's website? It looks kinda empty up there in the north.

No. We used a World Editor called Jass NewGen World Edtior created by Vexorian to break the limits that the standard World Editor has.
You can find it in the Download Page.

Maybe something like that... Edit the text as much as you want but many people still asks how we did the pits :p

And what about adding an WIP (Work in progress) page there we have some previews of stuff we are working on like the inventory for example.

I see that you fixed the screenshot section, it looks epic now. Just one question, can you make it so that images appears in small window on the page like they have done in diablo3.com insted of loading a new page with only the image? I guess you will learn how to do that first but that would make it better. Annoying that it loads a new page.

You should also add a question/answer about the Archievist since many people asks if he will be ingame. Even if he wont be playable it would be nice if we had a quest with him.

Maybe edit the About page so each of us have a big profile in the page insted.
I show you how i mean in a picture soon.

And can you do me a favor CW, can you increase the map size so i have space for the inventory? :p

I dont mean the file size of the map.
I mean the playable area of the actual map :p
Right now we just dont have any space for the inventory :p

And now i gonna quote something really awesome.
For a beta this is very good, and you are on a great path.
Bounty Hunter 2 can see the future! O.O DID YOU KNOW THAT, DID YOU?!
He said that in the first page. =]
