[General] Damage Bonus Table - Ethereal

Yup, that does something. There's this spell called "Banish" that makes things ethereal.
Ethereal targets take that multiplier in damage or healing. Tauren Spiritwalkers also have an Ethereal form ability.

Basically, let's say your Paladin heals a footman for 200 hp with Holy Light.
If you Banish that footman first, the same Holy Light will heal for 200 x 1.66 = 332 hp.

Same for spell damage.

Yea, the first one is the amount of bonus healing from spells.
The second one is the amount of bonus damage Ethereal targets take from spell damage and magic attacks (most spellcaster type units deal "Magic" damage).

Notice they're both a x1.66 multiplier. You can modify this to be whatever you like.
In fact, if you make it ".50" that means Banished targets take 50% damage from spells (or healing, if you change that too)

Modifying this would give Ethereal targets from Banish very interesting effects.
It could be used to deny something healing, to amplify damage, or to protect targets from a % of spell damage, depending on how you change it.

Really?
When I open it, the fields are "magic" and "spell damage."
Weird. I am not sure why yours show different.

EDIT:
You could check if those fields really are spell damage and magic damage:
  1. Make a unit with the spells Banish and Death Coil.
  2. Put it on a test map with some enemies and an undead ally (to check healing).
  3. Modify those multipliers to like 4.00 or 0.5 or something, and test the map (ctrl + F9).
  4. See what kind of damage and healing you do now.
