[Spell] Custom Spell Base

Hey guys, i've been working on custom spells a lot lately. To be honest i've played more Dota then warcraft campaigns and i'm not very familiar with the spells in the object editor and it takes my time a lot to find a good base for a custom new spell.

I got an idea which will help everyone(i guess :S ),

Everyone will write down which spell is a good base for which custom spell. For example;

Strom bolt --> for unit targeted spells and instant casting

Inferno ---> for channeling spells

and it goes on like this.

I opened the thread on help zone because i think this will help new members and also the members who are not very familiar with the spells on warcraft.

It's generally believed that Channel is the best spell for new trigger based spells.

Stormbolt is fine but it always has a stun/interrupt.

Healing Spray (with negative damage) is good as an AOE siege-type attack (targets ground, not units).

I like the Summon abilities when it comes to self-buffs and such. You can set the number of summoned units to "0" and then trigger the rest. They also have different Orders so you can order NPCs to cast them pretty easily.
 
Channel will be the best bet since you can make several spells based on Channel and make then not collide with each other...

if you use two stormbolt based abilities and put them in the same unit, they will collide... but with Channel, you can modify the Base OrderID to avoid collisions

Plus Channel don't do anything be default so it's nice...

You can also make it have an AoE, make it have Unit target, point target, unit and point target, instant cast... you can make it be able to target magic immune if needed etc
