I see a lot of Map Icons around with fancy lettering for the map icons and I was wondering what tools people used to make those.

Things like the lettering on this. Was just wondering if people ended up using a generator or such for it or if it was all just hand made.

People use sites like DaFont to get custom fonts for their projects: https://www.dafont.com/
Warcraft font is called LifeCraft if I remember correctly.
Then the font is installed and used in Photoshop. Inside Photoshop you mess around with the "Blending Options" on the text layer until you get the 3-d look you want.
