Crimson Blade ++Final edition Created by dungeonseeker
Map Info:
Crimson Blade Final is a 3D Fps medieval based environment. You'll notice the similarities between this and a mmorpg. Anyway, this is an old map revisited, repolished, and completely reworked to provide an enjoyable gaming experience. Simply use the arrow keys to move, and spells to fire.
Features:
As you might already know, this game is a sequel to Crimson Sword. However, there are some major differences:
Completely revamped 3-tiered movement system. The graphics are much, much clearer than the original. As a result, the movement has been dumbed down to 3 different speeds.
New hero: the Paladin.
Improved terrain, with more water reflections and circular design.
Much more precise unit pathing, walls are now only 1 tex deep rather than 2.
FPS camera can no longer run through walls or into the ground (most of the time).
Some balance fixes
Loading Screen now provides loading percentages of other players in multiplayer
There have been several new terrain commands added to provide variety. Simply type commands such as -terrain cement, or -terrain ice, to completely change the look of the map. This command list is posted under "Weather commands" in the map info section (ingame). Some else stuff about map:
Use ESC to instantly skip cutscenes and/or game chat functions.
Some of you might not understand how to play against the Ai...
To play against the AI, follow these steps:
1. Start a single or multiplayer game.
2. Fill up the game with however many Computer(Easy), Computer(Normal), or Computer(Hard) slots one wants to play with.
3. Make sure you are playing as red.
4. Once the game has started, you will be issued a dialogue prompt. Select the computer difficulty as easy, normal, or hard (again) or None, for no AI.

Review of Crimson Blade

This is a 3rd person rpg with some really amazing features.
It has really nice terrain and great spells but its not playable sadly. I was
really expecting something closer to a "Final Edition."
The Pros
-Terrain is beautiful
-Reflections - so sweet!!!
-Spells are interesting and well coded
-Filesize is small despite the high quality
-Nice music
-Good Cinematics
-Nice dialogue boxes and gameplcy choices
-HD preview and loading screens
-Spellbook!
Suggested Improvements
-Map is often viewed through the terrain
-I couldn't get rid of the Acolyte on my head (this was really annoying)
-Arrow keys were backwards for left and right. I know this might make sense
for steering a boat or something but for running around, left should be left.
-My hero DH, walked on water after he blinked
-Overall playability needs to be greatly improved
-Camera adjustments dropped camera down below the ground.
Overall Rating
This map is not ready for release. You should never be able to see under the
ground or off the edge of the map. A player should be able to run around from
the start. If these things aren't happening then your map is not ready. 2/5
The movement system has been improved and its much easier to control now.
There are still many problems though. For example, character still walks through rocks.
Acolytes still land on head. Though with the ghost look, its not as bad.
I suppose I should increase the rating, but this map is so cool, that it really need to be fixed
up right. I will give it a 3/5, but vote for pending. I would really like to see all the bugs worked out.
If this map plays smoother it would be fantastic, but for now its just really pretty and a bit cumbersome.

It has terrain which means its one of the best maps ever, it should be approved. =)
Will make a review later if I have time, looks like a fun map. Though I don't see where it is 3D. Also optimize your triggers/code. One should never have 500+ triggers.

It felt like it to me. Walk through, discover stuff, follow the quest, collect items. When I think fps I think call of duty or doom. When I play a 3rd person walk through like this, I think RPG, even is the character has a gun.
