[SD/Modeling] create model & animation for wc3

What's the process to create a working model for wc3?

I know 3d modeling process with blender/maya how do I make it work properly when transfer to wc3? I want to make a tree.

I guess this is all I need, If I miss any please tell me. Btw does variation need seperate animation or it work fine with the same animation rigging?

You can do it with MDLVIS and work directly with mdl/mdx files without format conversion shenanigans, especially for trees you don't need hundreds of polygons

The blight variant is handled by the game using ReplaceableTextures so if you apply one to a material it should do it automatically, but making it work with custom textures is a challenge

Finally each tree variant is a separate model and you can reuse the same anims if you wish
