The map was originally by Shalek, and after he disappeared nearly 5-6 years ago, I came across it randomly and decided to fix it. Since then I have rebuilt the map from scratch and it is my aim to fix the map, balance the map, and take it down a path that will bring out its full potential without differing from the original feel.
What is it?
Corruption of Sargeras is a truly unique map. While it is a strategy map, it is an RTS unlike any other.
If you have played the original Corruption of Sargeras, then you may notice I have already redone and improved various systems to be more user-friendly and allow more growth for the mapmaker.
Terrain said:
The terrain consists entirely of islands which represent worlds. They very greatly in size from small to massive. The world in the center is the largest and consists of the Sargeras Prison and Prison Gate. The four corner worlds are occupied by the Mortal Races, and the rest are free game for any who dare.

Resources said:
There are a total of 3 resources and there are three factions. Each faction uses different resources for different reasons and gain them in different ways. It varies greatly with each faction, so I will elaborate in time.
For now, know that the resources are as such:
Magic
Gold
Food
Control Points said:
On every world, with Prison World being the only exception, there is a varying number of Control Points. They, at this moment, can only be upgraded into Arcane Wells. Arcane wells provide Magic Income. In time there will be more uses for them.
Sargeras is the only faction that cannot use Arcane Wells, or much of any type of CP.

Sargeras said:
Sargeras, the titan, is a hero faction consisting of a single unit. Sargeras is the most powerful unit in the map. The average Mortal Race unit is 150 health, the average Eredar is 3-400, and Sargeras goes as high as 8500!
Sargeras is also the ONLY hero in the whole map.
It is Sargeras' job to do three things.
1. Protect the Mortal Races
2. Kill all of the Void Summoners
3. Survive
First of all. The Mortal races are allies to Sargeras, but they are so much weaker than him that it is his job to protect them and lead them into battle.
Secondly, it is Sargeras' job to hunt down the primary Eredar units. Void Summoners. Killing one destroys the entire player's base and sends all of his units to prison as well.
As a note: The Summoner's allies will try and free him by laying siege to the Prison Door. You must protect it, because if it is destroyed you will lose access to items and all of the Void Summoners will be freed. Also, all future Void Summoner kills will be instantly freed as long as the Door is gone. You must retake control.
thirdly, understand that in your hunt for the Void Summoners, you may very well become the prey. If a Void summoner gains the strength necessary they can turn the tide and hunt you down.
IF YOU DIE, THE GAME IS OVER!
Movement:
Your movement is done by blinking. Your blinks are far longer than normal. Yet the CD is longer. Also, you can gain items to assist your movement.
other:
-In order to aid you in your quest to restore order to the Nether, your prison can supply you with items at the cost of Magic.
-Magic is only gained by destroying Eredar structures. You cannot use Arcane Wells.
Mortal Races said:
Mortal races consist of units that are very weak. One on one, a Mortal Race simply cannot compete with an Eredar. However the Mortals have access to strengths which make them unrivaled.
Their own economy is about magic, gold, and food.
Magic: They gain it from Arcane Wells, and they use it to make caster units.
Gold: they gain it from farms and capitals. It is used for everything.
Food: it is gained from capitals and is used for farms and elite units. Also, note that the most basic of units do NOT cost food.
This means that your economy must be very carefully planned out. Too many farms means you cant make many elites, and too few farms means you will have trouble making anything. Also your Capitals are limited, so choose their locations carefully.
Because if you lose all of your capitals you die! If all Mortals die, the game is over!
Now, the most important part of the map is about Movement. A true pro of Mortals will not just sit back and let the Eredar come to them, they will go after the Eredar.
Movement mechanics with Mortals is complicated, but possible. When mastered, a Mortal can compete with any Eredar player easily.
1. Make a wizard.
2. have him blink around to where you want.
3. Have him build a portal.
4. Now Mass Teleport to any portal you want.
The key to movement with Mortals is all about wizards, portals, and mass telaport. This is a difficult mechanic to master, esspecially in a team.
But when used correctly, even the weak Mortals can outmaneuver all 7 Eredar players with ease. You can pop up in all kinds of locations instantly and give them a serious headache. Or come to the aid of your allies instantly.
The potential for Mortal Movement is incredible. As this is probably their only true strength.
other:
-Mortals do not use heros or demi-heros, but can still make elite units that are quite good.
-I plan to make more CP for Mortals to use down the road.
-There are a total of 4 Mortal Race players.
Eredar said:
The Eredar are enemy to the combined Titan and Mortal forces. You outnumber them in both players and units. You are stronger than Mortals easily and if units are used right, you can cause the hunter Sargeras to become the hunted. You have free reign over the entire nether from the start, and if one of you dies, it is not the end of the world. Just bring down the Prison, and you can continue with your conquest.
All of this is true. But only in capable hands can the Eredar outmaneuver the Mortals and make the Titan bow before you. This comes from knowing their strengths and weaknesses.
The economy of Eredar is quite simple. You take control points, you build Arcane Wells, and you make buildings to supply you with food. Arcane wells literally are the mainstay of the Eredar economy. However be wary, they cost food. Too much income can diminish your army size.
In terms of Maneuverability, you have the most simple. You lack the complication of Mortals and the items of Sargeras, as only a true pro would master the Mortals.
1. Void Summoners blink. shorter distance than Sargeras, but also a shorter CD. (Meaning you can change direction suddenly. and run circles around him.)
2. Void summoners can summon units from anywhere on the map to themselves.
3. Voidwalkers and Nether drakes can fly from world to world without needing to blink or be summoned.
The army of Eredar is quite varied. You can build Nether Portals cheaply and en masse to make units as weak as footmen, yet can build the incredible Dark Portals in order to produce the mighty Infernal. Or even better. Bring Archimonde or Kil'Jaedan themselves to the battlefield!
In order to win you must do these things:
1. Kill either Sargeras or Kill all of the the Mortal Races
2. Keep from ALL being imprisoned. Even 1 Eredar can manage the job.
If all 7 of you become imprisoned, YOU ALL LOSE!
other:
-There are a total of 7 eredar players
-You do not have access to heros, but you can make demi-heros such as Hakkar, Archimonde, and Tichondrius. (limit of 1 demi per player. and making a demi causes the other players to not have access to it.)
-Destroying the Prison Gate frees your allies and makes it impossible for any of you to be imprisoned. Also, you get a reward!
Please note that I use the terms "Eredar", "Void", "Evil", "Demons" all in pretty much the same way. This is because the original race IS Eredar, and the overall theme is all of these.
My plans said:
1. To make the map to be what it originally was. (because doing things from scratch tends to leave holes)
2. After I bring it to the way it once was, I will redo a lot of things so they do the same overall thing in better ways.
3. One of the mind-sets i will change things with is that I will be adding more races in the future for everyone.
4. more features, races, and overall things for people to have fun with.
The map is indeed ready for public in my eyes. Not saying it is perfect by any means, but it should be quite fun.
