Convoy Escort

I have temporarily put my RPG on hold in order to create this map.

Gameplay:
The map is just like it sounds. It's going to be a team vs team game where one team has to defend a convoy, taking it to it's destination safely. The other team, obviously, has to destroy it.
It's going to be well balanced, and the game will auto-adjust to the ammount of players. It will be mostly for LAN play, because that is what I think hive has a lack of.

Features:
The game will be replayable on defeat.
Teams will be equal, and teams with less players will get additional units.
Game will be 1v1 playable.
The terrain will be highly developed, I pay a lot of attention to detail.
The first version will use modern units, and if the game goes well, ill even create a medieval version.
The game will feature custom models from the hive.


Tell me what you think, and feel free to post ideas.

I've had an idea that would amp this map to the next level....

Have each team take turns doing convoy runs with the opposing team attacking. The convoy's contain military equipment with it's destination being the team's main base, and the assaulting team has to destroy as much of the convoy as possible before it reaches the base. When it reaches the base the teams swap roles and this plays out again. The convoy runs can be done a set amount of times by the host, and once all of the runs have been done the battle truly begins.... as all the military equipment that made it to the base becomes usable by the players to wage war on each other until one force is left standing.

I think this would add a lot to the game as well as giving more of a purpose to the convoy runs. Considering that you are already planning to make the map replayable upon finish it shouldn't take too much work to add this final phase to the game.

That is an amazing idea dude. Right now, i just plan on working on the convoy thing, but I'll let it get to the point that you suggest. Maybe each convoy run could add to the starting resources, based on the number of surviving units. Then war.
