[General] Converting unit ability to hero ability

Just as the title says, how to make unit abilities to hero abilities... For example, the Esnare ability of an Orcish Raider, how can I a hero can use that ability? I tried it normally, but it doesn't work at all.

I think there's a data feild in the object editor for that. but if there isn't, you can always use a dummy ability like channel and trigger the effect. (make a dummy unit use the unit ability)

Make the Hero Ability = true. If you want Unit Ability then make it false.

what do you mean it doesn't work??? maybe because you forgot to remove the techtree requirements?

I have been using normal abilities on heroes and they work fine...

yes ensnare is requiring a techtree item "Ensnare" that it is needed to upgrade before activating/enabling the ability.
