sorry if this has been discussed, but i searched through forum but didnt find any post that it would describe it clearly.
Is there a way to convert models made in 3d max to be able to use them in wc3?

Use MilkShape. Export 3ds model into it, then import ms3d into War3 Model Editor and resave as mdx or mdl.

Or try using google for "3ds to mdl" converter or something...

The Blizzard Art Tools allow you to export your file as an mdx, which can be used in Warcraft. You can find the Art Tools in the sticky in this section.

He has to have either 4 or 5 to use the Art Tools, otherwise I think there is a script for one of the higher ones.
