Compile Sounds to a replace sounds of non-used unit

Is it possible to edit a soundset like Peasant with another WC3 Sounds from different soundsets?
e.g.
PeasantWhat1 -> BanditWhat1
PeasantWhat2 -> FootmanWhat1

Actually I could export and then import those sounds to replace some sounds but is there any easier solution which doesn't increase map size significantly?
I only found some stuff with SoundVariables etc. but that didn't help much with my problem.
