Code breaking contest - unrelated

I was wondering if I could host a contest of code breaking. The rules would be simple:

• Whoever breaks the most codes wins
• Codes will be made by me and will be in the form of: you get a code that needs to be decoded, and you get another code with a decoded version of that code. From that you decode the first word.
• There will obviously be a different level of difficulty with the final one being very hard.
• I was thinking of creating maybe 15-20 code systems.
• The prices could probably be awarded to 3 people. One that decoded the most. One that decoded less that the first one. One that decoded less than the second one.
• If any of them decoded the same amount, then we judge by the time of their post.
• It would be nice for the prizes to be so: 1st place - 100 rep, 2nd - 50, 3rd - 25

What the heck is this? This doesn't even make sense... In order for us to decode something, you have to give us a key, such as what one letter means, so that we can find the rest.

Ah, I see the key now, ignore that last part, the answer is, Early ???

No the answer is something else. I will just give you a clue, it's two words and think of each letter having a number to it. From that try to form an equation.

It could be something like this???...after this short movie, a code is shown to us...that code(if you use binary code) means E.D.E.N...and if you count all the zeroes and ones, it will give you 20 zeros, and 12 ones...2012
