Hi,
i didn't play this game for a while. When i played it last time, you had skill points for str,agi,int,hp,mp and the shade dropped an item that gives you 1 additional skill point. does that still exist but has another function?
Another thing. if you kill the sludge monster, you get a weird ring. does it have any purpose? or just story

Ring has no purpose.

I believe the Shade zeal (Stat bonus) item was removed in 1.2A
