Kae-wha? The heck is this?!
Kaelicious is an old social group named after its founder, Vengeancekael. He created the group two years ago, and a lot have happened since then without him knowing. A collaborative story was driven by its many members in a unique universe, based on holiday events. It sounds weird at first, but once you're in it and understands the universe, you can't stop loving it! And now we're finally closing in on one of the most popular holidays a year – CHRISTMAS EVE! And on this occasion the roleplay will not only take a turn towards a Christmas-theme, but several contests will be created as well. And the price will of course be reputation points!
The roleplay is driven in an unusal way – its actually more of a story, and we're all equal storytellers. Simply write something, and it will happen! We have only a few rules, which can be found in the group. The contests are connected with the story of the roleplay, so you will have to participate in both in order to win. Create yourself a Main Character, and go ahead!
It will all take place in Kaelicious!

We like the experienced writers, roleplayers and artists, just as much as we like the newbies who are eager to learn! Kaelicious is for everyone! So don't be shy asking questions, we're here to help!
The Setting
The Christmas Elves have isolated themselves within their busy city of Santania, along with the foreign supporters of the Christmas holiday. With the destruction of Santa's Workshop and death of Santa Claus himself last Christmas, and a hostile army preparing for war, it seems to become a very dark and bloody December for the poor Christmas Elves. An alliance was recently made between the maniacs led by the Godess of Insanity, and the demon horde from Earth's Core led by the Mad King. These evil masterminds have taken over most of the known world, and turned its people into mindless slaves, and they plan for the Christmas Elves to be next!
The Christmas Elves are not alone though, for with the maniacs taking over entire Valentine Forest, the God of Love have arrived in Santania to support the Christmas Elves against his greatest enemy. Normally, the Christmas Elves would turn their trust and hope towards the magical Gear of Christmas, which used to power up the original Idol of Christmas, Santa Claus. However, this year it might not save them, for it has been stolen and given to the egocentric Blue Mage, Lujon, who claimed the title and powers as Idol of Christmas for himself... And one infamous person has teamed up with him – the ruthless killer of Santa Claus and countless others – Mistress Frederica Bernkastel!
A lot of drama will surely take place in the Valley of Christmas this year:
Santania:
The only remaining home for the Christmas Elven race, and the supporters of the original Christmas holiday. Its security army, "the Niss", is led by the foreign Tauren, Go'an Wise-Horn, after he proved himself worthy in the Christmas War 2 years ago.
The Ruins of Santa's Workshop:
The former Idol of Christmas, Santa Claus, made his toys for the children of the world in this factory. However, it was destroyed 1 year ago, by Misstress Bernkastel, who wanted to destroy the Christmas spirit. However, she was defeated by the forces from Santania.
Icelis:
An ancient town on a stray island. Its people was ruled by Lujon the Blue Mage. However, for unknown reasons they are all dead today, and he is the only one remaining... which suits him just fine.
The Shedfort:
The Master of the Shadow Cult, Prophet Alagremm, used to train his students in the dark arts in this building. With his death, the place is presumably abandoned by all of his students.
Cartellaña:
A town inhabited by the cat-people, whose souls are connected to the Oktoberfest Chalice, which means the Oktoberfest Idol has full control over the people of this town. The current Oktoberfest Idol is Kenny the skeletal demon.

The Christmas Elves could surely need heroes in their war effort to save Christmas!
The forces of Fire and Insanity are in need of tough warriors so that they can crush the puny Christmas Elves!
The Blue Mage and Misstress Bernkastel probably won't accept any newcomers on their side... or will they?

The Forces of Light & Love
The Christmas Elves whose goal is to protect their homeland, and ultimately restore Christmas to its original glory. While Santa Claus is gone for good, they hope to reclaim the Christmas Gear and elect another worthy Idol of Christmas, who can hand out toys to every child on Christmas Eve.
Making their home in the fortified city of Santania, with a prepared army of Niss soldiers, and a large group of powerful supporters, like agents of the God of Love and God of Light, there is still reason to hope for a great Christmas Eve this year!
Every character on this side includes:
Cupid, the God of Love:
After his homeland was taken during the Valentine Wars in February, his title as Valentine Idol was taken with it, and his people brainwashed – all because of his archnemesis, Mania, the Godess of Insanity – Cupid seeked refuge in Santania, waiting, plotting against Mania and her army. In the meantime she has taken control over a huge part of the known world, spreading her mind-controlling corruption to all of its people. Now she is about to assault one of the few remaining bastions of free people, and Cupid shall not allow it.
Psyche:
The ever-beautiful and lovely wife of Cupid. She lost just as much as him, when Mania's corruption reached their homeland.
Go'an Wise-Horn, the Leader of the Niss:
A Minitaur hailing from the south - Two years ago, he started a journey north from the Southern Continent, along with Am'ar Kardos the Orc, and Dilrin the Goblin. They finally reached Santa's Workshop after a long journey, and helped the Idol of Christmas in his war against the Mad King's legion. Due to Go'an's wise strategic advise, they defeated the Mad King, and secured the holiday early on in the war. With the Christmas Elven security army ("the Niss")'s leader's tragic death, Go'an was elected to take his place due to his competence in leading wars.
Dilrin, the Goblin:
A Goblin assassin who teamed up with Am'ar Kardos and Go'an Wise-Horn on their journey north, two years ago. With Go'an's election to leader of the Niss, Dilrin decided to stay in Santania, as the Minitaur's right hand.
Rheiko, the Shape-shifting Christmas Elf:
Rheiko is a Christmas Elf who have developed the rare ability to turn into animal shapes. He is mostly using his wolf-form due to its mobility and fighting capabilities.
He has a strong dislike for both the demons from Hell, as he faced them in the Christmas War two years ago – and for the maniacs serving the Goddess of Insanity, because he himself fell to her corruption during the Valentine Wars. Fortunately, he came back to his senses in time for him to join the Christmas Elves in Santania.
Ventus, son of Vincent:
Only a teenager, Ventus has learned to take care of himself in a cruel world, being the bastard son of a wealthy politician in the human capital city of Nort Frandis. His father, Vincent, abandoned him, and wasn't around when their city fell to the powers of the Mad King, and its people corrupted by Mania, the Goddess of Insanity.
Ventus is a hardened young boy, who might be the last remaining human with a clear mind on the continent.
Leprey & Clurey, the McPatrickus brothers:
Leprey and Clurey McPatrickus are Christmas Elves twins who left the Valley of Christmas with their father, after the Christmas War two years ago. Their old father broke their soul's magical connection to the Idol of Christmas when he became an Idol himself - The Idol of Oktoberfest, and they took over the city of Cartellaña, successfully ruling its people for almost two years. In the meantime, the brothers journeyed around the continent, earning money by drawing maps for the mysterious man known as the Storyteller.
However, Leprey was eventually killed in the Easter Games Arena, and Clurey had to continue the job alone with a heavy heart. Once he had drawn a couple of maps, he returned to Cartellaña to tell his father of the horrible news, only to realize his father had been slain too, and the Oktoberfest title had been passed to a powerful demon.
At the meantime, Lujon the Blue Mage was bribed into reviving Leprey and in turn receiving the Christmas Gear. The brothers reunited with eachother, and escaped the corrupted city to their ancestral home in Santania – here they can help their fellow Christmas Elves in fighting those who killed their father, and corrupted Cartellaña.
Leprey used to be the joyful and optimistic of the two, while Clurey used to be the greedy and pessimistic one. However, their time apart, have made them more alike than ever before.
Gyro, the Grepett Bartender:
Gyro is an old kind Grepett who have seen more than most in his age. Growing up a slave, escaping into the lands of humans, then starting his own business as a mobile bartender, moving from town to town, until he was finally entangled in Am'ar Kardos the Orc's numerous adventures. Like Am'ar, he was one of the founding members of team T.H.U.M.P.E.R., and this has turned him into a loyal supporter of the Christmas holiday, starting one year ago, he will not see the holiday destroyed this year either.
Lizzie Kardos / Leila, the Angel:
Lizzie fell in love with Am'ar the Orc and eventually married him years ago, but was eventually killed. Her soul remained to one day be fused with the angelic being known as Leila. She will aid the Christmas Elves with her amazing powers of Light to defend the Christmas holiday, and her unborn son.
Juno, Dawn and their kittens:
Juno was an adventurous white male-cat, and one of the founding members of team T.H.U.M.P.E.R., until he found the love of his life – Dawn the beautiful brown cat lady from a special bloodline. They settled in a city in the south and had kittens. That was when the armies of Fire and Insanity assaulted their new home and they were forced to escape to the north. Now, they have joined the Christmas Elves in Santania to fight those who took their homes from them.
Thylleon, the Elf Writer:
Thylleon's home city was destroyed after being attacked from both sides. The maniacs serving the Goddess of Insanity attacked from the south and north – and the Mad King's demon legion wiped out the rest. He managed to escape along with Gyro, Leila, and a cat family.
Bran Saligia, the Survivor from Loch Kael Harbor:
Bran was there when the Mad King invaded the human cities of Easterland two years ago. Only a young man, he fought against the demons, eventually encountering the demon lord known as the Sinful One – the right hand of the Mad King. The Sinful One cursed Bran, infiltrating his mind, and tearing his soul apart in the process. He survived the war, but his personality had been replaced with an odd one, representing several of the seven sins.
Bran also survived the destruction of his home, the Loch Kael Harbor, more than a year later, when the Furates razed and pillaged it. While living alone in the ruined town, the ghost of a man called Kari started visiting him, eventually convincing him to journey north.
The Forces of Fire & Insanity
Mania, the Goddess of Insanity, succeeded with her villainous plan back at the Valentine Wars in February. She drove out the God of Love from the Valentine Forest, and took complete control over his people, driving them to insanity. The following months she used to spread her territory, eventually ending up covering most of the known world with her influence. That's when November, the month of Halloween came, and with it a horde of demons appeared out of no where, in the human lands of Easterland - quickly conquering the one region she had still not claimed for her maniacs. Instead of entering another bloody war, she made a pact with the Mad King of the demons. The Pact of Fire and Insanity.
The Mad King and his demons have a long conflict-filled history with the Christmas Elves of Santania, and Mania had a personal struggle with the God of Love. Nothing but a world domination is in reach for this grand alliance!

The Mad King, the Idol of Halloween:
Known only as the Mad King, this demon overlord led an attack towards Santa's Workshop two years ago, and just when he was about to win the siege, he was captured, and the Christmas supporters forced him into giving a foot massage to Santa Claus. For this embarasment he was banished from Earth's Core by his own people. Hiding in shame in another dimension, he has finally returned, reclaiming the title as Idol of Halloween. Following a successful series of wars with the human cities in Easterland, the demons do not doubt a second that he will lead them to another victory this December.
Larxe, the Sinful One:
A demon in servitude to the Mad King, serving loyally as right hand advisor to the Idol of Halloween. He is a master of curses and twisted incantations.
Alwin, the Fist:
The demon in charge of the Mad King's mechanics. When the Mad King was banished from Earth's Core, Alwin watched as the demon people grew weak and disillusionized. He took jobs outside of Hell, as a janitor in a human prison, then as a cartographer, working together with Clurey McPatrickus. However, he found his way back to Earth's Core, and was overjoyed to help the Mad King rise back to his power!
Kenny, the Oktoberfest Idol:
Kind of a kaeliciousy Ghost Rider.
Born a son of the Mad King, Kenny is only proud to serve his father as a powerful lieutenant. With the flame attached to his skull glowing, his fiery whip ready in his fist, and mounted atop his skeletal felhound Bisnar - little can match this demon. Especially not since his powers were doubled after he killed the old McPatrickus Oktoberfest Idol and took over the title, as leader of the cat-people of Cartellaña.
Mania, the Goddess of Insanity:
Mania successfully became the Idol of Valentine, after driving out Cupid from the Valentine Forest. She extended her corruption to the entire continent and beyond - now having maniacs from every heritage in her army. However, she is not finished with Cupid and Psyche yet - there is still an old score to settle.
Kero'gash / Chenralston, the Panda Maniac:
One of many who fell under Mania's corruption. Chen actually used to fight against her, but during the Easter Games, he was forced to drink an elixir made by the maniac wizard Antonio.
Maybe their army will also be accompanied by Antonio and Momo + Dai Quong and Wrath, and all the other maniacs, but that obviously depends on the outcome of the southern wars...
The Forces of Darkness & Ice
Not really a faction like the other two, but it still deserves an honorable mention, since it might just as well be the factor that changes the outcome of the war. Misstress Frederica Bernkastel who failed to destroy Christmas last year, still managed to kill Santa Claus and burn down his workshop. This year she has returned to the Valley of Christmas, and having teamed up with Lujon, the Blue Mage who had gotten his hands on the Christmas Gear and become Christmas Idol - due to a common interest.
They both wish to get rid of all mortals! Be they demons or Christmas Elves...
The Contests
Of course the goal is to pursue the goals of your chosen Main Character's team, and gain a victory for your own faction. However, if you wish to obtain reputation points, there are other contests you should put your mind on too. Those who want you to make something more than just roleplaying, something more creative. Either terraining, or drawing!Note that before participating, you will have to make a Main Character, and specify which faction it belongs to (See the three choices above!). You can only join one faction and cannot switch during the event. Your character may change his alliance, but you cannot.
The contests have begun, and shall conclude the first second of year 2015!
The Fight for Territory
In a war such as this one, having control over as much territory is a good idea. Whenever you make a roleplaying post, describing your faction taking over a new region, attach a terrain screenshot of the related zone. It must be featured on the map of the Christmas Valley as either a name or a number.
- Team LoveLight starts out with Santania, and this location can thus not be taken by this team.
- Team InsaneFire starts out with Cartellaña, and this location can thus not be taken by this team.
- Team DarkIce starts out with Icelis, and this location can thus not be taken by this team.
The team with the most conquered areas, which have been terrained, by the end of December will get 3 reputation points - including every team member!
Additionally, the three best of all terrains will be given special, high reputation prices!
1st place = 20 reputation points
2nd place = 15 reputation points
3rd place = 10 reputation points
History is Art!
Draw a scene from the Christmas event roleplaying story. Either one that has already happened in a previous post, or you can attach the image to your post.
The more of these following criterias are right, the better score will be given to the artwork when judging at the last day of December.
- Includes three or more named characters.
- Features one or more of these artifacts; Cupid's Love Bow, the Christmas Gear, or the Oktoberfest Chalice.
- Contains any sort of Christmas decoration, no matter in what condition and shape.
Additionally, the three best of all drawings will be given special, high reputation prices!
1st place = 20 reputation points
2nd place = 15 reputation points
3rd place = 10 reputation points
