Think about it. They can take your child away because you don't know how to take care of them. But, how are you supposed to learn how to take care of children if they take away the opportunity? There's more. Once they take away
your child, they tell them of Child Services' legal power to protect them from their own parents. In this way Child Services preserves itself through self-necessitation and indoctrination.

So law enforcement is a cult. How are criminals supposed to learn what laws not to break if the police keep putting them in jail?

When you look at in such a... stupid view, everything is a cult.

They ARE fucking necessary. If you got off your high horse and took a look at the real world you'd see that in actuality a large portion of the populace is not fit to be a parent.

So it's much better to leave kids with their abusive, neglective parents?
Not necessarily. If the parents are dumb and unable to learn through experience how to take better care of their children, then no.

If you got off your high horse you'd see that in actuality a large portion of the populace is not fit to do things they've never done before, but through experience they can learn how. I think it's hypocritical that society is so focused on childrens' development, yet neglects and even obstructs parents' development.

uhhh

like by not knowing how to take care of them, do you mean not knowing that children need food and water? or that (/gasp) placing your child in a tub of boiling water is a bad idea? They don't fucking take away children because someone left them home alone for a half hour, or something like that.

When someones child is taken by child protective services, this means that they are not just a bad parent, they are a downright horrible parent (most likely a crackhead/alcoholic at that). You must be incredibly naive or incredibly stupid to think otherwise. Anyone who claims that child services "stole" their child is more than likely full of shit - you would be surprised at the kind of things people can do but still keep their child.

anyways, unless you are suggesting that people learn how to take care of children via trial and error, this is really a stupid point to argue.

And a large portion of that does not involve jeopardizing the health of another human individual.
You make it sound like child services just barges down and takes children willy nilly.

There's a difference between learning to be a good parent and being a fucking terrible parent. As long as they try and put effort into raising their kids, social services should not be necessary. It's not that hard to avoid the scenarios that call for the involvement of social services. And if they're so worried about whether they're doing a good job then they can take classes on parenting. They're grown adults, we're not obstructing their development. They can figure it out. Children are human beings, not tools to practice on. They should not be put through neglect and pain so parents can have a chance to "develop", that's bullshit. As stated earlier, they can take a goddamn class. There should be no reason they are in that position except in a situation where social services is necessary, hence their existence.
