Hehe, Firefox FTW!
Even though the chat works in IE it doesn't look good.
Maybe just give users the message "Get Firefox you caveman" when they enter the chat with IE. :D

I don't understand the gibberish about the chat looking ugly in IE, although every other browser surely is better, the actual look of the chat is no worse or better in IE than any of the other browsers.

Have you tried IE? The difference is easily found.

HFR, wut? Either it's your computer or you have an old version of Firefox. It's most likely your computer though.

Well Firefox is exempt from the random redirections to porn sites that people who use IE get (well Chrome too). I guess the point is that both Chrome and Firefox are better then IE, pretty much any main browser is better then IE.

Why would you judge which web browser you used based on how many porn sites it can redirect you to?

Hell, shouldn't IE be at the top of your list if that's what you're worried about?

Not exactly - getting redirected to porn sites would be a huge pain - and I've never actually experiences this problem as I've been using Firefox since before people started complaining about getting redirecting while checking out different things. And no, I don't go to porn sites. And I have many other reasons to like FF over IE.

Firefox is the best browser these days..and when i say the best i mean the best.

You can give it a try and search for yourself, you can customize it, its safer, its faster etc...i could go on for ever.
Sorry, but Safari, Chrome, and Opera are all demonstrably way faster than Firefox (especially with regards to javascript). "Better" is personal.

They are also way more standards compliant (unless FF scores better than the 73% it got on acid3 when I used it), which means if the chat isn't working on one of them there is probably something seriously wrong, whereas if it breaks on IE (or sometimes on FF) it is just standard procedure, and if you use such a browser you have nobody to blame but yourself for javascript failing now and then.

Ralle: Use jQuery, then you won't have any browser problems anymore.
Others: Stick to Firefox, it's fast, flexible, safe and looks great.

If speed means so much for you you might want to try Chrome or SWareIron (Chrome without spy) but I can tell you, it's rendering engine is horrible.

(I tested some advanced websites I've made)
