I need some help please,

I am trying to make a mod in which the humans can train Captains (as seen in the campaign) and skeletons are more powerful, I would like to make this mod apply to the campaign. I have done everything for the mod except make skeletons live longer all I need to do is to make the modifications apply to the campaign. I have the SLK files but I do not know how to make the captain buildable at the barracks.

Thank you for your help!

What I want to do is to create .w3u file in the editor that contains all of the units so that then I can convert that file into a .slk and then insert it into the main .mpq file. The step that I need help with is creating the .w3u file that contains all of the units.

Oh! Will then.

First off, the map is actually an mpq archive. The archive is openable by a variety of programs. Personally I use WinMpq.
To convert the war3map.w3u to a .slk file, download the widgitizer. This increases load time of your map by converting object files to .slk files. So run that on your map. (save a backup!) Then use the mpq editor to open the map. Find the unit .slk file you want, then import it into your main archive. Beware! Keep a backup of your main archive, or you may have to reinstall warcraft!
