Change item's shadow?!?!

Hello! This is a simple one. How can i remove/change the size of an item's shadow? I have a consumable item, called "Sunfish" and i changed the item's model to the blizzardy "Dead fish.mdl". However, this model was a doodad and i had to increase it's size (because it was small, duh...), with it's size, it's shadow also increased and now it looks like a pile of poop. Any ideas?

Okay since I don't know if you can (what?) change the shadow of an item, why not just creating a custom model, which has the correct size and based on this the correct shadow?

I don't know a single thing about models... mostly how to edit them. :/
