Castle Chaos
AboutThis is my first project since my computer was virused an I lost all my data, It's a defense game based on defending yourself from natural creeps at the same time as attempting to defeat an opposing player based in the future.
BackstoryBreifly put, two rivalling mafia teams both wanted an incredably powerful artifact buried within the nearby area, they teamed up as they wouldn't be able to deal with the mutated creatures which fed off it's power. They chose the old castle as their base of operations however soon after arrival the two teams turned on eachother as they wanted the artifact for themselves. This fight left them in a deathlock inside the castle where they both must seperatly survive the hordes of creatures, defeat the opposing player and claim the artifact for their own.
The CastleIt's a symmetrical (to make it fair) Fortress containing one bottle neck location (either side) The turrets. It is fully playable, and very basic, build for two players. (In later devlopment additional maps will eb created with larger Castles and suchlike)

Playing the gameEach player has a menu (Currantly under construction) inwhich they can order units, purchase upgrades and choose their dropship and suchlike. (Dropships carry the untis and deploy them)
To deploy a unit the player must first specify a landing zone or 'LZ' for short

To specify a LZ the player must select the middle 'wisp' and use it's ability, yoou can tell when you have selected an LZ by the sfx that appears over the central 'Wisp'
You then press ESC and it will bring up the menu, it will automatically start in the deploy section as that is the primary use of the menu.
You then control the menu via use of the arrow keys, Text is displayed showing information of the currantly selected 'square' as it were, you can tell what you have selected vai the text going green

Pressing ESC will 'use' the highlighted button, for example if the 'close menu' 'button' was selected and the player pressed ESC the menu would be removed from the screen, If the player press ESC on the 'upgrade' button then the menu switches to the upgrade menu:

Like before the upgrade menu is controlled via the use of arrow keys, and Information on the curratns selection is also displayed.
Now, once a player has deployed units they must use them to capture VCs which look like this:

VC's generate AP which is used to purchase everything, AP is also obtained by killing hostile units.
That is basically how you play.
