i'm trying to overwrite a map's .j file that contains some edited strings

when i open the map after replacing the previous .j file, the changes don't show up

e.g. if I had some string that said "Hello" and changed it to "hi", it would still show up as "Hello" in world editor and in-game

other details, if it even matters:
- the new .j file contains korean characters
- replacing the .wts file works fine for whatever reason

send help
