Can you run WC3 without an audio source?

This was never a problem is previous patches, WC3 simply started without sound. Since migrating to the new Sound Engine though, theres this weird bug where you CANNOT start wc3 without an audio output source. My headset charger actually just broke from my chair rolling over it, and now I'm actually having issues with this bug. The error tells you "Unable to initialize Audio Device. Please ensure your selected audio format and audio drivers are up to date." Selected "OK" tabs you out of wc3, and doesn't start the map.

So, any workaround or I just can't test maps atm?

You might have some luck scrounging around the internet for a piece of software called Virtual Audio Cable. It lets you set up virtual sound sinks/sources, and should work just fine as an output destination for WC3.
