Hello there,

I'm new to the world editor and I've been looking for a way to rotate buildings in game. I mean, I know how to rotate one in the world editor but is it possible to change the base model so it keeps its facing angle whenever I'm building one during a game or campaign ? Is it even possible to alter the base model ?

Thanks for your patience. If the answer is already out there, I haven't found it for the past two days...

Best regards.

Hello,

I'm not sure this is what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for a custom map, but a mod to allow rotation of buildings in any game mode (even if I'm the only one to actually see it). Is it possible ?

Hi, could you explain it to me ? I really don't have any experience with WC3 mods and scripts. How do I add movement speed + rotation to a building outside of the world editor ? And regarding the custom script, should I press enter in game and copy/paste it (and replace "YourUnit" by "Farm" for example ?)

Mmh, unfortunately the discussion's over and it stopped exactly where I needed answers. From what I understand, it was necessary to edit MPQ files to change a model so I would be the only one to see it, permanently. Now that the MPQ isn't used anymore, it seems that I have to use a ".w3mod" suffix.

It's getting more and more confusing for me at this point, and I'm afraid it's way out of my reach to mod this game. The only game I modded was a Lord of the Ring RTS game and it was much more easy. Unless somebody feels like doing it for me, I think I'd better give up. I really loved your button idea, Uncle, and it would be awesome if this was possible through a mod. If you ever think about working on it, let me know. Thanks for your help anyway.
