bug with heroes in melee map

You have to declare your custom heroes as heroes in the Gameplay constants:

The trigger thing will come on its own I think.

When you made the custom heroes did you use heroes as a base unit or did you use units, like footman?

If you used units as base units and then afterwards changed their type to Hero in the object editor, this could be the issue.

I have no idea but...
Try to add the inventory ability with a trigger to the trainging finished unit.
Did you also base the building on an altar or cantine?
Are you training the heroes or buying them, like mercenaries?
Or search in game constants for Hero / Altar related and add your building as an Altar and your unit as Hero.

Yes you are right it should work in normal conditions.

Could you post a simplified version of your map with just what is necessary to let us try to identify the origin of this unexpected issue ?

Ok I had a look and I think I found how to fix your issue :

- Go to object editor -> abilities -> Inventory (Hero)

- Then search for the field "Techtree - Check Dependencies" and set it to false.

- Test your map :)
