I was considering adding purple color so it matches my earlier warlock related icons better but thought it would look weird, since the model the icon is based on have no purple colours at all :I

I'd say give it a red-orange eye. It's a tip. Anyway as JH said, it's better than the Blizz variant.
Edit: I'm not so sure Shadow, but different opinions.

For me, blizzard's icon is better because it looks much creepier than this and has a darker color that gives an obscure impression to the voidwalker.
You should make the icon darker and much creepier than this.
But still it's not bad like that. I give this 4/5

I am very grateful you decided to grace our presence with your beautifully-fitting artwork. This is really nifty, but (most importantly to me) very much something I'd expect to see in-game. I can't wait to use it... But I have to ask. Since it has so much in common (and the alternatives are... lacking), is there any way to see this modded slightly to resemble this model's face?

If you are interesting, I could see it happening with minimal effort (assuming Blue teamcolor for the face-mask)... Just some more lightning & stuff.

Either way, super-cool. Let me know if you are looking for ideas.
