Hawkwing: Looks awesome! On a note totally unrelated to moderation, the first WIP looks like a Popsicle (hahaha).

WOW, impressive improvement... enough said!
It is a nice Icon... but I'm guessing the knifes handles could be improved, but don't know how...

I did smudged the glow down the handle, maybe it isn't so visible.

Well, if you're using photoshop, there's this "tiles" filter which would make things a bit rougher (can't remember what exactly, hasn't worked on photoshoped for something serious since 2 years ago)...
So imo, use a tile filter on the handle, and keep it as is to preserve the warcraftish style...
