OK, this is an awesome icon.

Perhaps it is just me, but I would much rather use the spiderling icon for that model. They look kind of similiar and no need to import a icon.

I definitely can see the resemblance. The eyes and the mouth are spot on. I think the only thing that is odd is the smudge like cloud behind it. I realize what it's supposed to be. But it's a great start. Maybe try making it more tube like growing from the base of it's mouth?
