I feel like the teeeth's shape is.. not undead enough? does that make sense?

Like, the shape of them is straight and not misshaped in anyway, not a single gap between the teeth either.

    Wonderful icon quality wise though.

Too much noise. What kind of compression and conversion software do you use? If you use BLPLab then set quality to 100 and mip-map to 16. Take example from morbent's contest entry, his icons are smooth and clear. 4/5

I don't usually use filters in my icons(only 10%, mostly for background but it's not the case here).
I just sharpened it in Photoshop after re-sizing it to 64x64 to retain some clarity.

As for the blp conversion, well I use ButtonManager as every icon maker does around I suppose.

I only use BlpLab to convert my skins from tga to blp.

You should never sharpen icons, use a harder brush if needed. Drawing in soft brush and then sharpening gives these bad results of noise. Furthermore Button Manager has quality settings, you can edit them to best suit your icon.

    Zoom In
[IMG] You see those red, green and blue discoloration points all over the icon? Some parts are also more blurry than others.

    More about compression artifacts.

I use hard brushes to draw and use soft ones for effects, glow, some minor highlights, background color and so on.

I appreciate your concern regarding the compression but I don't think it's such a grave matter here. It's just a bit pixelated anyway.

Well if you don't care about quality of this icon then there's not much I can do. It's not a grave matter but it could be better, I see you are not a perfectionist.

I haven't really said that, I just said that it's not THAT visible (the noise you pointed out).
As for the perfectionist part, well I wouldn't rush with that conclusion of yours.

I learn along the way, nobody got perfect/better instantly.

For me honestly, I like the noise thing, it just give the warcraft atmosphere to the icon.

Yep, definitely the noise is a warcraft-ish thing. I even checked all of the blizzard icons and most of them have some sort of noise.
