Now this is too much noise. Just look at it, try to zoom in and out.

What kind of compression and conversion software do you use? If you use BLPLab then set quality to 100 and mip-map to 16. Take example from morbent's contest entry, his icons are smooth and clear.

What did you even do to make it this noisy and sharpened? 3/5

he uses blur. i use sharp brushes. And also return ur page to the 100% zoom. It has no "noise" @this size.
