I think I'll change the colour of the skin instead, this colour is more correct for the look I want.

Pretty cool, I like the expression on her face.
I've noticed that most of your portrets look like they're made from plastic. I don't know what it is exactly, but maybe you need to make the skin a little less smooth or make the highlights a bit duller, because at the moment they look more like action figures than actual persons.
