I think it looks very mage-y, I really like this one. Could be used for like, frostfire bolt or something. If you decide to change it though, change the BG (As said above). BG can be either black and with some feiry fires raining down behind, or something.

I think the missles could be blue-coloured, as to be icy darts, with an icy BG...I think it will looks really cool. This doesn't seem much fire...

The new red one is very nice, though I think the fires blend a lil too much, maybe seperate the 3 fire-balls? Just an idea, nice anyway.

Make the fireballs rounder, and a little more red highlights on the edge of the fireballs will do the trick. Darken the background too.

A slight modification(adding an eye to the middle bolt) would make this a perfect phoenix icon.

This can be used for both a Rain of Fire and Cluster rocket based spell, as well as some kind of forked fire.

But btw ACCEPTABLE icon...

IMO it is lacking some dark colors, like dark red, but that`s because I prefer darker colors ^^
