Wow, that's good. Maybe JollyD is right, some shading on the stick itself so that the ball can be more... catchy. Or some atmosphere background to fill the empty black space, but otherwise it's cool. I like it.

Hrrrrrrr, I like your style. Also, I am an orb fanatist, so naturally I have to like this.

Other people have already said it multiple times, harsher shading and highlights will do the trick. It doesn't remember of the nerubian race either, but that isn't that important.

I'm not fond of items without backgrounds or some king of aura, but besides I've always wanted to try to make one as there are plenty of wc3/wow icons without bgs still looking good imho, when I was experimenting with bgs somehow I didn't like them, but even so I think I'll upload a bg-ed version too.

As for the nerubian relation, the item's idea come from the looks of the "arms" and "horn" of Crypt Lords.
