Paladon: You should reduce the background's intensity and make more parts of the blade visible. The katanat itself appears very plain, especially the blade. Add some curves and scuffs maybe. A gravure might look nice as well.

The colors are to dull, and monotone.

Atleast use another background. Try a black, if its going to be simple.

Also, its shaded weird at the blade.

A katana sword icon which I made out of a katana sword some while ago.

That quote says that it's not freehanded by you, even more somekind of copy and pasting.

I made the katana, and then transformed it into an icon.
I see no problems since it is my creation and no cnp at all.
And for the record : I won't break rules by submitting wrong icons.
And yes, I still have the psd file.

Here is a short comment on the icon:

- There isn't really much depth
- The colors are to monotone
- The shading wasn't good
- The background doesn't fit much

However it can be useful. Also the Katana is curved a bit, I should know that since I train NinJutsu and we use them there.

Overall 2/5.

EDIT: The grip is too thin aswell.

This icon is ANCIENT. It was originally on wc3sear.ch years and years ago and is included in TBR 1.2, which was done more than a year and a half ago (it's the icon for the Commander's Sword).

I have no way of knowing if this is the same person who posted the icon on wc3sear.ch but I can guarantee it's the exact icon that was there.

I am sorry it was a typo: However it can be used was my writing intention, don't you find it logical that after some negative points I write however and then something positive: It can be used. Anyway a typo.

I have read it but I wanted to sum it up, my entire opinion about it. Don't feel bad, I could never do something like this, I just pointed my opinion to help you as much as I can. I can suggest this:

- Make the grip bigger
- Add a bluish glow to the background

I can't say much more as I don't have the idea of what could be improved more I am not such a iconer. Don't be offended by me, I find a honest review to be the best ^^
