Agreed. I think it's because you (BR) decided to include the whole sword in the icon.
It is good enough at it is right now. But playing around with it could perhaps increase its quality.
It looks good but most likely my personal opinion only, it could be better in the angle where most likely weapon icons are being shown because the angle of it looks unusual but good job still with your icon!
It is giving me the illusion that the sword is being compressed into a chubby short blade. What I would suggest is to create a one-point perspective in which the weapon (handle) would appear large and then (the blade) slowly shrinking in size.
